Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions Applicable to Training Sessions, Coaching Sessions, and Events.
The General Terms and Conditions of Swiss Academy SACT AG (SA) apply to all training sessions, coaching sessions, educational programs (Masterclass, Star Program, Speaker Scouting Slam, and others), as well as paid events (e.g., Top Speaker Slam and others).
For the sake of clarity, all of SA’s various bookable customer services are referred to below as “training.”
Registration / Scheduling
Every registration is binding and obligates participants to pay the training fee. An agreed-upon date is only binding for the customer who booked it once SA has received payment.
Course Seats and Registration for Scheduled Sessions
Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. Registration confirmations will be sent to the email addresses provided. SA expressly reserves the right to cancel training sessions due to insufficient participant numbers or for other reasons. If it becomes necessary to reschedule the session for operational reasons, SA is entitled to offer participants an alternative date within 12 months. No claims for damages may be asserted.
Withdrawals / Cancellations
Cancellations for a training session must always be submitted in writing (by mail or email) to the SA. Failure to pay the training fee does not constitute a cancellation. If you cancel a binding training session that has already been booked, the full cost remains due.
Cost Consequences of Cancellation
In the event of cancellation due to serious illness or accident, the SA will issue a credit for the training fee upon receipt of a doctor’s note. The credit can be redeemed with the SA within 12 months.
For all other cancellations made up to 14 days before the start of training, SA will issue a credit note for the training fee, minus a processing fee of CHF/EUR 100. The credit can be redeemed with SA within 12 months. For other cancellations or withdrawals made 13 days or more before the start of training, rescheduling within 12 months is at the discretion of SA.
Pricing and Billing
Training fees are billed in Swiss francs (CHF) and, for participants from the EU, in euros (EUR). Any bank fees incurred for international transfers must be paid in full by the participants in addition to the training fees. Invoices are generally issued after registration or booking of the session and are due immediately.
Our training courses are generally subject to value-added tax (VAT). For customers from the EU, the reverse-charge procedure may be applied if a VAT ID number is provided. Responsibility for this lies with the participants.
Withdrawal from the Training
If a participant leaves the training early or at any time during the session, the full training fee remains due. Upon receipt of a justified written request, SA may, in exceptional cases of hardship through no fault of the participant (e.g., serious illness), offer an alternative date without any legal entitlement.
Insurance
Participants are responsible for obtaining all necessary insurance. Participants use the equipment and the SA’s equipment at their own risk. The SA disclaims all liability for accidents as well as for the loss or theft of personal belongings.
Intellectual Property
The training materials are protected by copyright. Copying or redistributing the materials outside the training session is prohibited without the written permission of the SA.
Participant Data Protection
By registering for the training, participants expressly acknowledge that their personal information (name, address, etc.) may be stored for internal purposes and used for the entire training process (participant lists, correspondence, etc.) as well as for marketing purposes. However, the disclosure of this data to third parties is expressly prohibited.
Participants agree that, within the context of the training relationship, images and/or videos taken of them may be published. Participants are aware that photos and/or videos may be accessed by anyone on the Internet. Despite all technical precautions, it cannot be ruled out that such individuals may reuse the photos and/or videos or share them with others. By accepting the SA Terms and Conditions, 2024 Edition, the participant provides their consent to this.
Place of Jurisdiction
The courts in Schenkon shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this contract. Swiss law shall apply.
Final Provisions
Should any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
